I believe the most important component for a happy fulfilled life is our ATTITUDE. Our thoughts determine the altitude of our state of mind.
Positive thinking lifts the spirit, whereas negativity just drags you down and anyone who comes near you as well. It all boils down to our power of choice.
When I awake in the morning I can choose my attitude for the day. I can say today is going to be a happy successful day, or I can start whinging and complaining. I love that little song–“Don’t Worry–Be Happy.” Notice the lyrics below, and then have a listen as the author Bobbie Hendricks sings it.

Now there, is this song I wrote
I hope you learned it note for note
Like good little children
Don’t worry, be happy
Listen to what I say
In your life expect some trouble
When you worry you make it double
Don’t worry, be happy, be happy now.
Oo, oo-oo-oo, oo-oo-oo, oo-oo-oo-oo-oo-oo
Don’t worry, be happy.
12 Ways To Be Happy:
1. Make up your mind to be happy.
Learn to find pleasure in simple things.
2. Make the best of your circumstances.
No one has everything. Everyone has something of sorrow intermingled with gladness of life.
The trick is to make the laughter outweigh the tears.
3. Don’t take yourself too seriously.
Don’t think that somehow you should be protected from misfortune that befalls other people.
4. You can’t please everybody.
Don’t let criticism worry you.
5. Don’t let your neighbor set your standards.
6. Do the things you enjoy doing but stay out of debt.
7. Never borrow trouble.
Imaginary things are harder to bear than real ones.
8. Since hate poisons the soul, do not cherish jealousy, enmity, or grudges.
Avoid people who make you unhappy.
9. Have many interests.
If you can’t travel, read about new places.
10. Don’t hold postmortems.
Don’t spend your time brooding over sorrows or mistakes.
Don’t be one who never gets over things.
11. Do what you can for those less fortunate than yourself.
12. Keep busy at something.
A busy person never has time to be unhappy.
And I could add Number 13:
To know lasting happiness, get to know Jesus.
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.”
